Evil Dead: The Game is Adding a 40 Player Battle Royale Mode

Splatter Royale, a battle royale mode, has been included as part of a major update to Evil Dead: The Game. This past week Sony revealed that Evil Dead: The Game would be offered as part of their PlayStation Plus offers for February. It appears that the asymmetric horror game's creator, Saber Interactive, is attempting to take advantage of the additional attention by adding some new material. Not only Splatter Royale, though! is now accessible, but a fresh DLC pack for Evil Dead: The Game with even more content is as well.

Since its release, Evil Dead: The Game has faced numerous obstacles. It was made available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in May 2022, and reviews were mostly positive. Although the product's first sales were significant, its post-launch success has been questioned. The number of players is unknown because it is not on Steam, but streaming platform users have largely vanished. However, a PlayStation Plus release might introduce the game to a wider audience, particularly with a new battle royale mode.

Smash Royale! is a part of a free upgrade available to all Evil Dead: The Game customers. All the Survivors and Demons from Evil Dead: The Game, including DLC characters, will be available for players to choose from, and players will compete to be the last one standing. Players will plunder for weapons to use against other players, the same like in other battle royale games. The Royal Splatter! However, the mode will only have 40 people, making it somewhat more compact than other battle royales.

Along with the Splatter Royale! The new update offers players of Evil Dead: The Game a new DLC pack to buy in addition to the introduction of the new mode. The $9.99 Immortal Power DLC pack offers a range of content. The most noticeable change is the arrival of Ruby Knowby as a new Survivor. Lucy Lawless, the star of Xena, provides Ruby's voice in the STARZ television series Ash vs. Evil Dead.

The Immortal Power DLC will also contain four cosmetic Outfits in addition to Ruby. The bundle includes several costumes, including Kelly's "Scourge of Evil" outfit, Pablo's "Fish n' Chips" costume, Ash vs. Evil Dead's "Party Animal" costume, and the Puppeteer Demon's "King of the White Frost" costume. It's a good offer for fans of Evil Dead: The Game for $9.99.

What happens next with Evil Dead: The Game will probably entirely depend on how gamers react to the new DLC and the introduction of PlayStation Plus. All PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium members will have access to Evil Dead: The Game on both the PS4 and PS5. Considering Splatter Royale! is now available, so when the game unlocks the battle royale will be accessible to PlayStation Plus members. In 2023, fans of Evil Dead: The Game should have a lot to look forward to if the extra mode and the new wave of players are a big success.
