A Children's Miracle Network survivor is now a playable character in Guild Wars 2 during the Extra Life Game Day Event.

An incredible new NPC for Guild Wars 2's Extra Life Game Day event has just been unveiled. This year's Guild Wars 2 Game Day will feature April, an NPC created by a real-life champion connected to the Children's Miracle Network, as its main attraction.

April Arellano, a 10-year-old girl, has triumphed against life-threatening illnesses on numerous occasions. Despite the great chances against her, April overcame pneumonia, septic shock, and gangrene. As a result, she was designated one of the CMN National Champions for 2022. Thanks to ArenaNet and the Children's Miracle Network, April, an enthusiastic singer, dancer, and gamer, is moving into the digital sphere.

April is the Mesmer Wunderkind in Guild Wars 2, a skillful and ambitious mesmer and trickster. April and her parents worked closely with Guild Wars 2 to create the ideal simulation of the child hero in the game, and the ultimate result is as charming as it is motivational. April is even wearing a state-of-the-art prosthetic arm made by Jade Technology, which is reminiscent to Zhou Yao's arm from the End of Dragons.

The Guild Wars 2 charity event for Extra Life is now in its sixth year. ArenaNet has raised more than $500,000 for the Children's Miracle Network since it first started. Numerous in-game and non-game activities, such as Twitch Drops and, of course, April the Mesmer Wunderkind, are scheduled for this year's celebration. On November 4 at noon PST, a 24-hour webcast of their Extra Life Game Day event will begin.

The most recent NPC in Guild Wars 2 has received tremendously good and wholesome fan feedback. Players can't wait to meet April's image in-game to see what mischief she gets up to after reading her inspiring story. Many Guild Wars 2 players hope April is just the beginning of a long line of inspirational NPCs, and they'd want to see more of them in the game during upcoming Extra Life Game Day events.

Players of Guild Wars 2 are likewise in awe of April the Wunderkind's amazing Jade prosthesis. Since Yao was first introduced in End of Dragons, many gamers have wished for comparable cosmetics for their characters. Many players are hoping Guild Wars 2 takes advantage of this chance to add Jade prosthetic arms and legs to characters, especially if a portion of the cash shop sales is contributed to the Children's Miracle Network. We can only hope that ArenaNet will ultimately make these amazing, inclusive customisation options available to everyone.

On the PC, Guild Wars 2 is accessible.
