First Xbox Free Games With Gold Games for March 2023 Are Available Now

Free games for Xbox Live Gold customers will be available starting in March 2023 as part of Xbox's Games With Gold initiative. Sudden Strike 4: Full Collection and Truberbrook are this month's two free games. From March 1 through March 31, both are offered.

Only Xbox Live Gold-level users and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have access to the exclusive Games with Gold program. Two Xbox games are made accessible to members for free each month as part of the program's advantages. Yet, the games' quality can change from month to month.

On March 1 until the end of the month, Xbox Live Gold members and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can download two games for free. A real-time military strategy game set in World War 2 called Sudden Strike 4: Full Collection is the first of the two. A collection of six DLC packs, with prices ranging from $1.99 to $19.99, all free content updates, and a number of missions not found in the basic game are included in Sudden Strike 4: Full Collection. The official game soundtrack is also included in The Complete Collection.

The second game released in March is called Truberbrook, and it was created by bft Games. Truberbrook is a science fiction point-and-click adventure game that launched as a successful Kickstarter campaign in early 2019 and is set in 1960s Germany. Truberbrook received a score of 68 on Metacritic, however, as of publication, 932 reviews had rated the game "Mostly Good" on Steam.

Unusually, Xbox Live Gold customers will have access to a third free game from March 16 to April 15. Lamentum is a survival horror game with pixel art that was created by Obscure Tales. Gamers will control an aristocrat named Victor Hartwell as he battles a number of Lovecraftian cosmic horrors in a massive eerie estate in mid-19th century New England. It has a "Very Good" Steam rating and a Metacritic score of 74. As seen by its far more exciting March release schedule, which includes MLB The Show, some have hypothesized that the quality of the free games supplied through Games with Gold is lower than should be expected as a result of Microsoft's attempts to lure users into Game Pass.
