title figure. After Hellena Taylor exposed the money given on social media, there was a significant response to the news that she had been replaced by Hale.

Due to the uproar, Taylor called for a boycott of Bayonetta 3, and many of her online followers agreed. According to general agreement, PlatinumGames would have replaced Taylor with Hale even if they had done so in a way that was disrespectful to the voice actress. Taylor claimed that PlatinumGames, the company behind Bayonetta 3, only offered her a total of $4,000 to return for the third chapter.Taylor claims that the publisher was also forcing her to re-audition for the part. As a result, Taylor and PlatinumGames parted ways, but not before significant harm had been done.

It wasn't until Monday afternoon that Hale finally spoke up about the matter after first remaining silent. Hale tweeted that she couldn't discuss Bayonetta 3-related topics because of a nondisclosure agreement she had signed. Hale stated that she wished for fans to keep in mind that a sizable team of developers is working on Bayonetta 3 and its gameplay, so the criticism affects more than just the voice actors.

The Bayonetta 3 release will go according to schedule. Taylor cited the franchise's more than $450 million in earnings and continued to call for a boycott from the audience. Because of the tension between herself and PlatinumGames, she observed that her personality is beginning to resemble the one of the famous character she played. Taylor went on to argue that the publisher's offer wasn't a living wage and that those who genuinely care about the people who are impacted by financial decisions made by huge corporations should continue their boycott. Hideki Kamiya, the creator of the series, reacted by calling Taylor's response "sad and terrible," further igniting controversy.

On October 28, Bayonetta 3 will be available for the Nintendo Switch.
