The Cult of the Lamb has launched a Halloween event called the Blood Moon Festival

Cult of the Lamb recently released a trailer highlighting the content that has arrived as part of the game's limited-time Blood Moon Festival Halloween event. By completing the Blood Moon Ritual, Cult of the Lamb players will be able to unlock a variety of Halloween-themed rewards, such as follower forms and decorations.

When it was first released in August, the indie hit Cult of the Lamb received positive reviews from critics and players due to an intriguing combination of gameplay elements and its cute-yet-terrifying art style. Players assume the role of a sacrificial lamb who has escaped death and embarked on a quest for vengeance, amassing a cult of loyal and lovable animal followers to do their bidding. Cult of the Lamb, which is part Animal Crossing-style village sim and part Hades-style roguelike action RPG, has drawn a wide range of players due to its diverse game mechanics.

The Blood Moon Festival in Cult of the Lamb is both the game's first seasonal event and its first round of new content since its release. To commemorate the occasion, players can work toward a number of festive rewards from October 24 to November 10. The Blood Moon Ritual, which allows players to see and capture the ghosts of deceased followers, is now available to players. More rewards will be unlocked as you capture more of these ghosts, including three new follower forms: the Cursed Crow, Skeletal Deer, and Bat Demon. For the duration of the event, new decorations such as the Blood Moon Tree and flowered skulls can also be unlocked.
